Schuyler Jeffress was born into the world of media and entertainment. With both of his parents deeply immersed in the industry, his mother as a producer on commercials and his father as an editor, it's safe to say that Schuyler's journey in this field was destined from the start.
Schuyler's early introduction to the world of editing came at the age of 11 when he was first introduced to AVID. His passion for storytelling and film-making led him to spend countless hours after school, collaborating with friends to create movies and then meticulously piecing them together on AVID during late-night editing sessions.
As soon as he was old enough, Schuyler wasted no time diving into the industry. He began as a Production Assistant (PA) and, through hard work, dedication, and an undeniable talent for editing, he worked his way up to becoming an Assistant Editor. One of the significant milestones in his career was when he served as an Assistant Editor on Jersey Shore Season 3, at the incredibly young age of 20.
Since then, Schuyler has consistently worked as an Assistant Editor, striving for that big break in the world of editing. He has honed his skills and gained valuable experience, with notable projects such as "Deadliest Catch: Bloodlines," where he had the opportunity to edit all the ACT 5 sections. His impressive list of credits also includes work on projects like "Password," "Murdaugh Murders" for Netflix, and most recently, "Welcome to Rap City."
Schuyler Jeffress's journey in the industry is a testament to his dedication, love for the craft, and unwavering pursuit of excellence in the world of film and television editing. He continues to push the boundaries of storytelling and looks forward to the next exciting chapter in his career.
